The NCCGA welcomes the University of Kansas to its first ever appearance to Nationals! After grinding through the season in Zone 3’s Central region, the Jayhawks held their beaks high hoping for that exhilarating bid to Nationals. The first regional tournament showed promise for this group of boys that knew they had an uphill battle to Myrtle. Wolf Hollow Golf Club treated Kansas’ A team well after beating Mizzou in a scorecard playoff for first place, and securing six points in the region!

Perhaps having a coach really does make a difference. It sure worked in favor for the NCCGA’s 2018 Spring National Champions, Grand Canyon University. Heading into Nationals at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, the Antelopes were on top of the national rankings and felt confident in their chances.

NCCGA Nationals is a special event for all of us.  From the staff, to the participants, to the sponsors each season's final event is an amazing experience. Last December, I traveled to Fall Nationals in Las Vegas at Paiute Resort and experienced the next level of the club golf atmosphere. I had to chance to meet Matt Weinberger (COO), Kris Hart (CEO), and the rest of the Nextgengolf to express my appreciation and let them know how special the event is to each club golfer. Soon thereafter I applied for the NCCGA President position and was selected for the position in 2018.

We have another powerhouse coming to Nationals. The Gophers are making their way to St. Louis to compete in the National Championship at Norwood Hills Country Club after swinging and striking a shot down the middle and into the hole for a bid. This will be the 3rd appearance for the team from the Twin Cities region. They played well at Paiute Golf Resort in the Fall Nationals. and tied for the title as champs with the Sun Devils from Arizona State.

After a successful spring season winning both regional tournaments, they have been offered a bid to their first ever NCCGA Nationals.
