Both teams finished in the top ten, with Clemson tying East Tennessee State and Miami of Ohio for seventh place (+77, 797), while Georgia was two shots back in tenth place (+79, 799). There was a distinguishable gap between the top five teams and sixth place on down the leaderboard. Nonetheless, Clemson and Georgia can both state their claim as solid club golf teams with room to improve. The region had a strong showing this season from several players individually, especially Rhoades Sturkie of Georgia Tech, while the Clemson and Georgia teams showed the consistency necessary to earn a nationals bid. Given that this was Georgia’s first season with a club golf team competing in the NCCGA, their stellar play was extremely impressive.
