LAS VEGAS- The Paiute Golf Resort played host to the Fall 2017 NCCGA Nationals-- the largest college golf tournament in the country on December 2nd & 3rd. Over 65 teams were represented, accounting for 350 total players in the field. Despite the extreme winds and a canceled second round of play, it was yet another successful championship with a lot of great play and moments throughout the tournament weekend.

Las Vegas- Round 1 of the Fall 2017 Nationals kicked off on Saturday. The highly touted field lived up to the hype as some teams were able to go low in the desert. Both the National Championship and Invitational are still very much up for grabs.

Las Vegas, NV - Golfers from across the country will make their way to the Paiute Golf Resort for the 15th NCCGA Nationals on December 1st-3rd, 2017. This year's Nationals will have a slightly different structure as there will be both a National Championship and the inaugural National Invitational tournament. In total, 344 students from 60+ teams will come to compete, making it the largest collegiate golf tournament in the country.

Villanova club golf comes into the National Championship ranked 7th in the country and is seemingly the darkhorse of this year's tournament. The Wildcats certainly wouldn't be in the position they are in without the leadership and strong play of senior Tyler Stahle. Nova was able to capture both Philly regional tournaments this semester, Stahle being the medalist in both tourneys shooting a day-two score of 135 (-7) in the first and 140 (-2) in the second. The senior is now the NCCGA all-time leader in medalist finishes (8), 1 of 33 players all-time to record a hole-in-one in tournament play, T-4th in total eagles and is the all-time leader in leader in total birdies with 100. All things considered Stahle is arguably the most accomplished NCCGA player in history and seeks to add one more important piece to his resume: a National Championship.
