The show went behind the scenes of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and their race for the NCAA Division I Golf Championship. The championship took place at Karsten Creek Golf Club, which is OSU’s home course. The show also focuses on their biggest rival, Oklahoma University, who won the championship in 2017. The tournament took place from May 25-30th. with the final match between Oklahoma State and Alabama. Ultimately, OSU was victorious in all five matches. The real question is did the show have an impact on Oklahoma State winning the title? One huge advantage the team had was playing at home, and knowing the ins and outs of the course definitely gave the Cowboys the upper hand. The filming of the show revealed how the athletes become a family. They spend most days together and continued to learn about how to help each other when on the course and in life. This could have impacted the show, because no matter if they win or lose they are always going to be there for each other just like any family would be. ![NCAA Golf](https://blog.nextgengolf.org/hs-fs/hubfs/NCAA%20Golf.png?width=1024&name=NCAA%20Golf.png) Having Rickie Fowler as executive producer might have had the biggest effect. Fowler, an alumni from the University, is one of the team's ambassadors. He has given the team many tips because of his experiences in college and on the PGA Tour.  In one of the episodes, Fowler invites the team to his house for a dinner and some practice on his driving range. Rickie never got a title when he played for the school, so he told the team it was their time to win. They listened to him, played their hearts out, and came away with the trophy. Oklahoma State wanted to prove themselves after failing to beat their rivals the previous year. These two schools battled the whole season, but Oklahoma State came out on top being first overall in the rankings. The team also hasn’t won since 2006 and lost in the finals in 2014. They had a lot at stake and knew the team they had this year could handle the pressure and perform. Overall, the show influenced the Cowboys winning the championship.
