Presidio Golf Course –This golf course is located right in the heart of the city near the Golden Gate Bridge. The course is a pretty high-end public facility, but provides a great experience for golfers in a convenient location. It opened to the public in 1995 and offers golf leagues for men, women and children. If you are looking to get into the men’s golf league, they play on Wednesdays at 10am or on Saturdays at 8am. For the women’s golf league, you would play on Tuesday mornings or Sunday afternoons. If you are looking to join a golf league in the Bay Area, Presidio is probably your best bet. Crystal Springs Golf Course – This golf course is located southwest of City Center in San Francisco. Crystal Springs is a semi-private facility which allows public play daily. If you become a member of the club, you can join the men’s or women’s club which is essentially a golf league and weekly tournament schedule. Nextgengolf Bay Area City Tour – Nextgengolf offers team-based golf opportunities for adults 21+ in the Bay Area. There are monthly events that take place throughout the summer at different golf courses within 45 minutes of San Fran. There are no membership fees, no handicaps needed and the tournaments are held at high end courses such as Half Moon Bay which is one of the best public golf courses in the Bay Area. Bay Area Pinseekers – This San Francisco Golf League is composed of 110 guys who play bi-monthly at different golf courses in the Bay Area. They play courses such as Canyon Lakes, Blackhawk Falls, Wente Vineyards and Eagle Vines. This league skews a little bit older based on some of the pictures from the players on the website and all of the tournaments take place on weekdays. Unfortunately, it looks like the membership is closed at the moment since they are limited to 110 members, but do allow people to get on the waitlist for this league.
