Each season, we use feedback and poll results from Nextgengolf City Tour players across the country to determine the ideal tournament courses. In 2017, we received great responses and suggestions to our survey indicating the best courses, and wanted to take a look at the best of the best.
Here is our first crack at the Top 5 courses of 2017 (plus two bonus ones at the end).

5) Wolfdancer Golf Club (Austin, TX)
Wolfdancer Golf club was built 11 years ago and quickly became one of the best courses in the greater Austin area. Normally on GolfAdvisor.com you find some harsh reviews on courses, but that is not the case with Wolfdancer. You want a great-maintained public course? Look no further.

4) Poppy Ridge (Bay Area, CA)
Poppy Ridge is one of the most beautiful courses in Northern California. With very unique three nines, this course provides a great challenge to players weaving through wine country. Poppy Ridge will host its first City Tour tournament in 2017.
-----
3) The Bull at Pinehurst Farms (Milwaukee, WI)
The Bull at Pinehurst Farms was ranked the 70th best public course in the US by Golf Digest in 2015 and is the only Jack Nicklaus designed signature course in Wisconsin. Despite the course being a drive north for most Milwaukeeans, it’s value and course is well worth it.
-----
2) International Golf Club (Boston, MA)
The International Golf Club is a private course outside Boston, MA. This course was so popular in the Boston City Tour in 2016 that there was a wait list at 116 players. The Boston City Tour will be coming back to International Golf Club in 2017 and it continues to be one of the top courses hosting City Tour tournaments.

1) Cog Hill Golf & CC – Dubsdread (Chicago, IL)
Cog Hill Golf & Country Club hosted the City Tour Championship in 2015. For the first time in 2017, they will host a local Chicago City Tour qualifier. The famous Dubsdread course, weaving between hundreds of bunkers, will prove a tough test for golfers looking to qualify for this year’s City Tour Championship in Myrtle Beach.
-----
Bonus) Caledonia and True Blue GC (Myrtle Beach, SC)
As a bonus, we wanted to highlight the two fantastic golf courses hosting this year's City Tour Championship!
Caledonia Golf & Fish Club is one of the prettiest courses you will ever play. The 18th hole approaches the clubhouse with a challenging shot over one of the many water hazards. Those who qualify for the City Tour Championship in 2017 at Caledonia and True Blue are in for a real treat. There is a reason it is the top ranked course in Myrtle Beach, and was named to Golf Digest's Top 100 public golf courses in the country list.
True Blue Golf Club is the other course that will be hosting the City Tour Championship in Myrtle Beach. Ranked as the 2nd or 3rd best course in Myrtle Beach (depending on who you ask) this course like Caledonia present many risk/reward shots over bunkers and water hazards. If you are fortunate enough to play well through 17 holes, you still have to take on the 437 yard par 4 around a large lake.
If you're ready to test your skills on one of these courses, or any of the other 50+ great venues we have lined up this summer, find your city and sign-up!
