Now that regional play has concluded, the stage is set for the NCCGA National Championship. 304 players will compete at the #Battle4Bryan in two short weeks. The 36 teams and 16 individuals making the trip to Bryan Park, NC, have had exceptional showings in their regional tournaments. This weekend's play was pivotal for many teams and their National Championship hopes. Here's the Region-by-Region recaps of this weekend's regional play.

NCCGA National Championship AND The Masters?!? What a great weekend to be a golfer. The cold winter that plagued the teams in the Northeast seems to finally be in the rearview mirror. The Azaleas are in full bloom in Augusta. Dozens of college golf teams from around the country will be finishing their NCCGA Regional play in hopes of punching their ticket to the spring NCCGA National Championship at Bryan Park, NC. Here's a Preview of the 24 regions hosting tournaments on Saturday and Sunday:

With only three weeks until the NCCGA Spring National Championship in Bryan Park, NC, we had several tournaments this past weekend. A couple teams have secured spots for the national championship and others started their seasons off well. Take a look at how the teams and players faired this past Easter weekend.

Some of the last few regions that have not started their college golf seasons will finally get a chance to play this weekend. Weather has prevented many of the northern regions from playing earlier, but they will finally be able to get out onto the course. Two more regionals will be concluding their Regional play as this will be their second tournament of the spring.

The end of March brought the NCCGA Madness of its own. This is one of the longer NCCGA recaps, but won't be the longest. Nevertheless, the #Battle4Bryan is starting to take shape. All but four regions have now started their seasons. Once again the Regionals have proven very competitive. This next month will be full of great golf as we finish regional play. This weekend the NCCGA will be experiencing its own March Madness as 14 more Regions begin their Spring seasons. There will be over 80 schools represented on the golf course this weekend with hundreds of individuals playing. This is what club golf is all about.

The NCCGA continued tournament play as the North Carolina, Gulf, and Colonial regions all started their #Battle4Bryan campaigns last weekend. Conditions were tough and scores were tight, making for exciting Regional Tournaments.

After a week of no tournaments, club golf is picking back up. Three Regional Tournaments will be played on Saturday and Sunday. The Gulf, Colonial, and North Carolina Regions will be starting their seasons and beginning their runs for the #Battle4Bryan.

As some regions have been unable to even swing a golf club this season due to weather, the Southwest Region has already seen Golf Academy-Carlsbad clinch an automatic bid to Nationals. Along with the Southwest tournament action this past weekend, the Ozark and Pacific Regions kicked off their spring seasons.

Club golf is back into the full swing of things for the Spring 2015 season. This weekend there will be three regional tournaments taking place across the country. The Ozark and Pacific Regions will be hosting their first regionals of the season, and the Southwest Region is already playing its second and final regional of the semester. As the NCCGA continues to grow rapidly so does its student leadership team. Earlier this year, I was fortunate enough to be chosen as the NCCGA Director of Campaign and Social Media. Coming into a new leadership position was intimidating with only a few months to prepare for the season. However, with the help of Cormac Kelly, the previous Director of Campaigns, and the entire NextGenGolf Staff the transition into my new role has been smooth and exciting.

The second week of competition, the NCCGA Spring Season traveled to South Carolina. Clemson University defended its title as Southeast Regional champs, winning their fourth consecutive regional tournament.

So far, throughout the short NCCGA season, poor weather conditions have been a recurring theme. Not only has winter postponed regionals, but it has forced me to shorten my NCCGA Spring Preview considerably. The cold temperatures and snow have drifted as far south as Texas and Alabama, causing postponements in both the Ozark and South Regions. With that being said, the only tournament play this weekend will take place at Hunters Creek Golf Club where the competitive Southeast Region will play in their first Regional Tournament.

In order to improve the NCCGA tournament experiences, the NextGenGolf team has decided to gather volunteers to help with each regional tournament. To further understand the role these volunteers will play, we caught up with Nick Heyrman, Director of Tournament Operations.

February 21-22^nd was a weekend of firsts in the NCCGA. We had the first Regional Tournament of the Spring 2015 season in the Southwest as well as two teams making their first NCCGA appearances. Point Loma Nazarene University and the Golf Academy of America-Carlsbad demonstrated talent and the potential to give defending regional champs, National University, competition in the #Battle4Bryan.
