Where college students go for golf

Nine College Golf Teams Earn Nationals Bid

By David Urmacher

Nine more college golf teams locked in bids on the #RoadToRabbit this past weekend.

With only two weeks of regional tournament play remaining, the number of open spots left in the NCCGA National Championship field continues to shrink. College golf will take center stage on Nov. 15-16 at Dancing Rabbit when 28 teams and 240 players travel to Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Congrats to this week's NCCGA Team and Player of the Week, the University of Missouri and Michigan State's Josh Heinze.

Heinz picked up his second NCCGA Regional Tournament victory over the weekend, and his second POY honors.

Heinze Heinze was stellar once again in the Midwest's second regional tournament.

After shooting 68-69 in his first two rounds, one of college golf's finest followed it up with rounds of 73 and 67. The former varsity golfer won by one stroke this weekend over Michigan's Patrick Colburn, who is quite the accomplished college golfer in his own right.
