Best driving ranges in New York City

By Oliver Mauk

New York City is certainly a tough place to play golf. Not only are there very few places to play in the city, but getting out into the suburbs can take forever with the horrendous New York traffic. These driving ranges are accessible for anyone living in the city, and are great options to continue playing and working on your game even when living in a bustling metropolis.

1) Golf Club at Chelsea Pier

59 Chelsea Piers, New York, NY 10011 - Ball cards starting at $30

Where else can you be encouraged to hit it into the water. The Golf Club at Chelsea Pier is New York Cities premier golfing destination. The driving range features some of the top technology with an automatic ball tee-up system making it one of the best driving ranges in New York.

In addition to the driving range, Chelsea Piers has Full Swing Simulators with over 55 Championship courses to choose from and greens to practice your short game. You can check out some other indoor golf options around the NY area in this article

Very similar to Chelsea Pier, but in Brooklyn instead of Manhattan. The biggest difference is that Aviator offers an 18-hole par 3 course and miniature golf for the whole family. This allows you to tune up your game or get out and play a few holes if you are short on time.

3) Alley Pond Golf Center

232-1 Northern Blvd, Little Neck, NY 11362 - $9 to $13 per bucket

72 driving stations means you will never have to wait to hit balls at Alley Pond. They also have PGA certified simulators, miniature golf, and an excellent short game practice area. Be sure to visit the sports bar and grill after your practice session for some refreshments.
