Joining a golf league provides the opportunity to make friends on the course, work on your game, and compete in a fun and friendly atmosphere. I was recently looking to join a golf league in Boston and thought it would be helpful for others if I shared my research. Below highlights 5 different options near the city of Boston to join a golf league.

Brookline Golf Course Men’s League – Brookline golf course is located conveniently in the City of Brookline about 20 minutes from downtown. They offer a men’s golf league on Thursday evenings from 4-6 PM. Playing in a league on Thursday night is a lot of fun since it is closer to the weekend. The league costs $450 and is all inclusive. City Tour Champs 2018

Nextgengolf Boston City Tour – Nextgengolf offers team-based golf opportunities for adults 21+ in Boston. There are 7 events (one per month) that take place throughout the spring and summer at different golf courses within 45 minutes of the Boston. There are no membership fees, no handicaps needed and the tournaments are held at high end courses. You can even use the events to qualify for the Championship, which will take place at Kiawah Island in 2020. All swings are welcome in the best ball or scramble formats. Fresh Pond Golf Course Ladies League – Fresh Pond golf course is a nice 9-hole facility located just over the Charles in Cambridge. This golf league is for women only and takes place on a weekly basis at the golf course. The cost to play in the league is $80 membership fee and you will need to pay greens fees at the golf course each week. Newton Commonwealth golf course

Newton Commonwealth Golf Course – Newton Comm is a golf course located in Newton, MA and very close to the city of Boston. This course is the most convenient course to join a league if you do not have a car since you can get off the green line stop at Boston College and walk about 15 minutes to get to the course. Newton Comm offers golf leagues on Monday-Thursday at the course which gives plenty of options if you are looking for a golf league on a specific day. Sandy Burr Golf Course – Sandy Burr is a nice course located just outside the city in Wayland MA. This course has a number of corporate leagues that play on a weekly basis given the proximity to the I95 and Rt 128 highway.
