Indoor Golf: 5 Places to Play Around Pittsburgh

By Oliver Mauk

Indoor golf is becoming more popular every year and its especially important in Pittsburgh with the colder temperatures.  If you want to enjoy some beers while getting some swings in, if the weather isn't cooperating, or you just don't feel like heading to the course it's nice to have the option to play some indoor golf around the greater Pittsburgh area.  Below are a few of the best places to get some swings in.

1) Cool Springs

Cool Springs golf makes you feel welcome from the second you pull in, with their massive clubhouse and driving range combined into one giant structure. They have heated bays so that you can hit balls out even on the coldest of days. They also have indoor simulators, but these are reserved for members only.

2) Corsi's Indoor Golf & Pro Shop

Head Professional Joe Corsi leads this operation, and his first priority is personalized attention. He wants to make sure that customers have the right equipment for their game and does a great job customizing clubs based on your body and your swing. They also have 5 simulators that you can rent out and you can bring your own food and drinks to the facility.

3) Inner Quest Golf

Aaron Genton runs this facility and he custom built his own simulators to correct the problems associated with most similar models. He felt that others were too innacurate and not intuitive enough for the modern golfer. Want to see what Aaron's simulator is all about? You can book tee times directly on their website.

4) Oakmont Golf Center

Oakmont Golf Center is one of Pittsburgh's premiere indoor golf facilities. Their Full Swing Golf Simulators are the most realistic in the world and allow you to choose from 50 of the best courses in world, including Pebble Beach, Bethpage Black, and Oakmont CC.  State of the art golf instruction is available from PGA Professionals using V1 Video analysis and one of the only Trackman® 4 indoor units available in the area.  Full swing, short game and putting lessons are also available.

5) Topgolf
