NCCGA Week 4 Recap & Week 5 Presidents Poll

Week 4 Recap:

The Southeast region completed their second tournament, being one of two regions that have finished and crowned a champion. Golf Academy of America – Myrtle Beach took the second tournament with a score of 747 (+27) by seven shots over South Carolina.

 
In the South Region, two-time national champions #12 Georgia won their region by 16 over #7 Alabama.
After being called out on last week's poll, Georgia took down Alabama without two of their best players.
Saturday. When asked about Noah's quote from last week, club president Joe Richard responded with:
"All we have to say is that we are a strong team, we have a lot of talented players, and there is still a lot of
room for improvement."


In North Florida, #6 Florida State was able to pull out the win from #2 Florida by 12 shots with a stellar
382 in the winds to pull away from Florida on Sunday. Florida punches their ticket to St. Louis with the
tie breaker winning the region by 7 strokes.


The Colonial Region had a big surprise as #8 Virginia Tech shot an 805 and came in third in their
tournament. #13 Virginia played like a top 5 team this weekend with their 756. 


The Central region saw some stellar play from Mizzou stud, Dillon Eaton, who won the tournament by 7
with an even par 144 for the weekend. #21 Mizzou also won their first tournament by 32 over Missouri
State and 40 over Kansas.


In the Twin Cities region, defending Co-National Champions #10 Minnesota – Twin Cities won by 2
shots over Creighton in the cold. 


In the Mountain Region, Colorado State won their first ever tournament as a NCCGA club with a score of
781.

In North Carolina, UNC Wilmington took care of business in a shortened tournament with a 394.

In the Northwest, #9 Oregon could not show up due to finals the day after the tournament. Central
Washington took home the win with an 839.


*No tournaments will occur over Easter weekend, so the next poll will be out after the weekend of 4/8*
