Everyone can use a little golf help

This weekend the NCCGA held 11 tournaments across the country, and as always we had several unique situations arise that required golf rulings. These aren't your typical golf rulings about cart path relief, lateral hazards, or any of the basics. These are situations that only come up once every semester. As part of our weekly series, we wanted to share the situations with you, as well as the corresponding golf rules that apply.

This past weekend we had 12 club golf tournaments taking place across the country, and there were three scenarios that came up which caused some confusion for groups. Here are the three scenarios below, what would you have done if this happened to you or someone in your group?  The result and corresponding golf rules (or NCCGA rules) are listed below to see if you chose the correct result:

With the City Tour season fast approaching, it's a good time to review playing formats for golf events. For anyone new to City Tour events, these golf tournaments feature a best ball and a scramble format. Players will be able to choose between competing in either format, and the top teams in each format will receive invitations to the City Tour Championship.

I acquired my current golf job with the Wisconsin PGA Junior Foundation two years ago. Initially I applied for an internship with the Wisconsin State Golf Association but am thankful that I was hired to work as a Tournament Director for the Junior Foundation instead. Since then, I haven't looked back and I've truly enjoyed my time at the Wisconsin PGA Junior Foundation. Here's a little more information on my golf job.
