The program provides players around the country with opportunities and experiences they wouldn't otherwise be able to have; i.e. meeting PGA Tour professionals, having access to the latest Cleveland Golf & Srixon equipment, etc. In 2017, there were 45 Nextgengolf members selected to participate in this amazing program. Of those 45, one ambassador stood out amongst and went above and beyond for the brand. We are happy to announce that Cody Phillips is the 2017 Srixon / Cleveland Golf Ambassador of the year.  Cody truly embodied what it means to be a Srixon Ambassador this year. Through his continuous support of the brand and actions on and off the course it's evident that he in on the #Journeytobetter. Below you'll find Cody's recap of his year in the program: ![Cody Phillips Srixon Ambassador of the Year.png](https://blog.nextgengolf.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Cody%20Phillips%20Srixon%20Ambassador%20of%20the%20Year.png?width=200&height=200&name=Cody%20Phillips%20Srixon%20Ambassador%20of%20the%20Year.png) **Cody Phillips, The 2017 Srixon / Cleveland Golf Ambassador of the year** Both on and off the course I am always wearing something Srixon, and always have questions asked from friends, coworkers, and other players about the brand, which I happily answer.  I have been an avid Srixon ball user for over 5 seasons and have had the opportunity to play some of America’s top courses with the Z-Star XV including Pebble Beach, Cog Hill, TPC Treviso Bay, TPC Boston, Stockton Seaview, and Harbor Town.   ![Cody Phillips Srixon Ambassador.png](https://blog.nextgengolf.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Cody%20Phillips%20Srixon%20Ambassador.png?width=788&height=308&name=Cody%20Phillips%20Srixon%20Ambassador.png)   I have witnessed firsthand the exceptional performance of Srixon equipment on various turf styles, weather conditions, and parts of the country which allows me to share how great it truly performs at all times. This year I was able to become more involved in marketing Srixon’sbrand by creating multiple blog articles, social media posts throughout the season, and sharing new developments in the brand with playing companions. I also referred multiple friends, and fellow Lincoln Country Club members to get discounted equipment through Nextgengolf. Also, Lincoln Country Club’s pro shop did not carry Srixon golf balls prior to this season. With my support of the brand and marketing to members I played with on a weekly basis, eventually many members began using both the Q and Z star balls and Srixon balls are now fully stocked in the pro shop. I wrote 24 names of women connected to Lincoln Country Club that had breast cancer at one time or another on Srixon golf balls. I used these balls throughout the 144 holes in memoriam and support of their fight. Those 24 Srixon golf balls are now on display at Lincoln Country Club which continues to market the brand in a positive way. Lastly, I was able to win the Lincoln Country Club championship this season, with a big aspect being my new Srixon equipment. I have never had such a successful season on the course, and I think a large part of that is having 12 of 14 clubs in my bag being Srixon/Cleveland. The irons, driver, wedges, and woods are the most consistent, accurate, and reliable clubs I have ever owned. I will continue to use Srixon equipment for as long as I am playing golf.
