Adapting to a new generation of golfers

Rin Richardson, daughter of PGA Professional Patrick Richardson, has a different perspective on the game than most people her age. She has learned countless lessons from her parents in her lifetime, like how to write or how to drive, but these four are unique in nature.

For those unfamiliar, the Srixon / Cleveland Golf Ambassador Program is designed to help celebrate our relationship with one of the top golf brands in the country. The program provides players around the country with opportunities and experiences they wouldn't otherwise be able to have; i.e. meeting PGA Tour professionals, having access to the latest Cleveland Golf & Srixon equipment, etc. In 2017, there were 45 Nextgengolf members selected to participate in this amazing program. Of those 45, one ambassador stood out amongst and went above and beyond for the brand. We are happy to announce that Cody Phillips is the 2017 Srixon / Cleveland Golf Ambassador of the year. 

Alabama club golf first started in 2012 as a small group of friends who still had the itch to play competitive golf. The team was looking for ways to get recognized more, as well as trying to give back to our community, so the club president at the time talked to the local Director of The First Tee about us volunteering.

The Cleveland Golf and Srixon Ambassador program has been a blast to be a part of this year.  I have been using the Srixon Z-Star XV golf ball for the last several years along with Cleveland wedges, but this was my first opportunity to try out any of their other clubs.

The Ryder Cup is here! This Biennial golf event between the Europeans and Americans is coming to Hazeltine National Golf Club located in Chaska, Minnesota, a Twin Cities suburb.

There is something about listening to music before playing any sporting event that seems to get people pumped, focused, and ready to perform.

As a young adult consumer, we can read reviews about golf clubs, golf courses, and resorts on sites like Golf Advisor, 3balls.com and Mygolfspy, but where can you read reviews about golf tours and tournaments that exist out there? Since we are biased and cannot review Nextgengolf events, we have asked some of our customers that have played on multiple tours to share their opinion for other young adults.

Mizzou Club Golf cannot put into words how fortunate they are to be selected as Brand Ambassadors for ProQuip Golf. We had been talking about getting team jackets before, but never would have been able to afford such high quality jackets like these. The way it all came about was luck really…We rarely check our club email account due to the fact that our personal contact information is all over websites. At Nextgengolf, our business is running college and young professional golf tournaments. As a team, one of our favorite things to do, when we're not running golf tournaments, is to go to PGA TOUR events. As The PGA TOUR would say, these guys are good! The Travelers Championship is the highlights of my summer because the course layout makes for a great viewing experience, the signature holes provide drama at the end of the course, and the time of the year always ensures it is great weather.

The Nextgengolf City Tour is getting young professionals in the game this summer. With affordable golf tournaments in major cities like Boston, NYC, DC, Chicago, , and many more, Nextgengolf is making it easier for young professionals to play tournament golf. Over 50 tournaments are scheduled amongst 14 cities, all of which are at quality courses for an affordable price (average price is between $50-$95). The list of host courses is sure to impress.

There is now an app that allows you to fill your foursome with like-minded golfers. A good friend of Nextgengolf, GolfMatch’s founder Peter Kratsios is striving to connect golfers. GolfMatch allows you to post about your golfing experiences, find golfers to play with near you, and even win an opportunity to play with a PGA TOUR player.

The NCCGA will be hosting 56 amateur golf tournaments this Spring at some of the best public golf courses around the country. This season's hosts rank among some of the best the courses the NCCGA has ever played in the regional portion of the schedule. From top campus courses, to top 100 public courses, these facilities have been chosen based on location, quality, and affordability for our college golf teams. Red Tail Golf Course in Devens, MA is easily one of the top 3 public golf courses in Massachusetts. Located out by Fort Devens, between 30-45 minutes outside of Boston, the course is named for the frequent Red Tail Hawks you can see flying overhead.
