Where college students go for golf

The NCCGA Gulf region kicked off the first round its final tournament of the semester at Beaver Creek Golf Course in Zachary, Louisiana on November 2nd. Beaver Creek Golf Course plays 6950 yards with a rating of 73.2 and slope of 131. The weather conditions were sunny with a high of about 75 with a strong wind. On any given shot, the wind could add two clubs. The two teams competing were Louisiana State University and Spring Hill College. LSU was unfortunately forced to withdraw from team play due to the absence of a fifth player, but play went on nonetheless.

Another tournament in the books makes for another successful weekend for the NCCGA. On October 5th and 6th, the Northern New England region (which consisted of UNH, BC, NU, and UVM) competed in Pembroke, NH at Pembroke Pines Country Club.

After the rain shortened Northeast regional tournament at the Links of Erie Village, the teams had thought they had seen the worst of the weather. Unfortunately, the final northeast regional tournament at Ravenwood Golf Club proved everyone wrong.

After a great inaugural semester of competition, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame emerged to represent the Great Lakes Region at the Fall 2013 NCCGA National Championship. The tournament, to be held at the Barefoot Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C., will feature 24 of the best club golf teams from across the country.

The South Region of the NCCGA wrapped up its regional qualifying on November 2^nd and 3^rd at the Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain located in the heart of Crossville, Tennessee.

The California Region concluded its regular Fall 2013 season at The Country Club at Soboba Springs from October 19-20^th, 2013. This beautiful, immaculately-maintained course was host to the 2008-’09 California State Open and to a Nationwide Tour event.

The California Region kicked off their Fall 2013 season at Menifee Lakes Country Club on October 5-6^th, 2013.

With another tournament in the books makes for another successful weekend for the NCCGA. On October 19th and 20th, the Northern New England region (which consisted of UNH, BC, and NU) competed in Goffstown, NH at Stonebridge Country Club.

The NCCGA Metro Region concluded with a great season at one the oldest golf courses in New Jersey, Minebrook Golf Club in Hackettstown.

On the weekend of October 25^th and 26^th, the second Atlantic regional took place at the Toftrees Resort in Bellefonte, PA.

The Southeast Region wrapped up their regular season tournaments at Greenwood Country Club this past weekend, October 26^th & 27^th.

The NCCGA Southeast Region kicked off the season at Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, SC October 5^th & 6^th. We had great weather both days with limited cloud cover.

The last tournament in the Mountain region for the year was at Thorncreek Golf Club in Thornton, Colorado. Both days of the tournament were cold, with a high of around 48 degrees.
