100 Days.
The release of the Fall 2016 NCCGA regional tournament dates means the upcoming club golf season is officially 100 days away. In 100 days the South Region will help kick off the season, and in 164 days we'll crown an NCCGA champion. What happens in between? 56 regional tournaments being held from Washington state to the southern tip of Florida, from San Diego to New Hampshire, ending in Orlando.
More than 300 club golf teams are expected to take part in the upcoming season, and already one team has clinched their ticket to the Fall 2016 National Championship. The University of South Carolina Gamecocks, the defending champs, earn an automatic invite to this year's event being held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. It'll be the first NCCGA championship held in Florida.
Here's a few key dates to keep in mind this season:
Key Dates
- Sept 17/18 - First Regional Tournament (South Region)
- Oct 29/30 - Last Regional Tournament (multiple regions)
- October 31 - Wildcard & Individual Invitations to Nationals Announced
