Everyone can use a little golf help

There are a number of articles about learning how to play golf, swing tips, what courses to play, and where to learn. I have found that when new golfers start playing, they have no idea what to actually put in their bags. In no order of importance, below are 10 essential items you need in your bag the first time you hit the links.

I am shooting lower scores, but my rounds are lasting longer than ever before. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Pace of play is becoming a large issue in the world of golf, regardless of skill level. Here are my four tips to speed up pace of play and hopefully we can get people to play Play Ready Golf.

As a summer intern for the Tiger Woods Foundation, I quickly learned why the name “Tiger Woods” is synonymous with much more than “golf” or “winning”. Below are three lessons I learned through my internship with the Foundation this summer.

Did you know Millennial golfers are being turned away every day at golf courses because of the dress codes? I will preface this article by saying I am a golf traditionalist at heart and agree/understand why golf courses have dress codes. Also, it is important to note that anyone who knows me would say my fashion sense and knowledge of pop culture is weak to say the least. Nontheless, I write this article as a reaction to multiple stories and first hand experiences seeing young people turned away at the golf course because “they didn’t look right." We are all about making golf relevant for the next generation of players and educating the golf community on the new Millennial golf dress code falls into our wheelhouse.

The English & Golf Programme is directed by Dominika Antoniszczak and merges the worlds of golf and business. Dominika is a former member of the Polish under 18 National Golf Team, and in 2010 was ranked as number 3 in Poland. She has represented Poland in the World Junior Golf Series and the Faldo Series.

You should be able to enjoy your job as much as you enjoy your hobbies. One field developing as a career for Millennials is golf. Once revered as a “rich man’s sport,” golf has become more popular and accessible. Because of this, careers and golf jobs in the industry are opening up especially for Millennials.

Serious golfers--those who understand the game and it's culture--comprise a cult who live for golf and everything it stands for. Harvey Penick, legendary golf instructor and mentor to the great Ben Crenshaw, captured the essence of the golf cult in the title of his second book "And If You Play Golf, You're My Friend." Fast forward a few decades and the lingo and lifestyle of Millennial-aged golfers is now being captured on Twitter by @TotalGolfMove_. It's my pleasure to bring you the top 10 #TGMs.

Golf is my life and my true passion. I live, breathe, sleep, eat, sweat, golf. I was introduced to the game by my father at the young age of seven and had my first ever golf membership by the age of 10.
