Orange Scrap Out 'W' in Weather-Shortened NCCGA Northeast Regional

It was a weekend filled with rain, wind, and cold weather for the first ever NCCGA Northeast regional tournament. Being held in East Syracuse at the Links of Erie Village, all five of the competing teams knew that the weather could potentially be an issue, especially in October. Considering that some of the teams had never played each other before, neither team really knew what to expect.

WF's Bina, Campbell Outlast Strong NC Region

The North Carolina Region hosted its first tournament of the fall 2013 semester at Little River Golf Club in Carthage, NC on September 20-21. A large number of teams were able to attend this event held near historic Pinehurst. UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, UNC Wilmington, Elon, NC State, ECU, Campbell, High Point University, and Wake Forest University’s Men’s and Women’s teams were able to attend, making a field of 10 schools.

Morningstar Golfer’s Club, Waukesha, WI--The inaugural NCCGA Great Lakes season came to an end this past weekend with Notre Dame claiming the rain-shortened weekend, but Purdue earning a trip to nationals. After completing roughly three holes on Saturday afternoon, thunderstorms and standing water throughout the course led to a cancellation of round one, meaning the tournament would consist of only 18 holes on Sunday.
