Adapting to a new generation of golfers

Each season, we use feedback and poll results from Nextgengolf City Tour players across the country to determine the ideal tournament courses. In 2017, we received great responses and suggestions to our survey indicating the best courses, and wanted to take a look at the best of the best.

City Tour golfers are employed by many of the top national employers including Deloitte, IMG, JP Morgan and many more.  Since all players live in major cities across the country, and are either starting off in their careers or are already established in their professions, it’s great to celebrate the diversity in backgrounds and experiences.

City Tour golfers represent all types of different backgrounds and professions.  Since all members are between ages 18 and 40, we find diverse tournament fields ranging from college players to golfers in their 30’s with busy jobs and kids.

By now you have heard the exciting news that the USGA has unveiled the plan for a simplified set of rules going into effect in 2019. While NCCGA rules will remain in accordance with the current USGA Rules of Golf in 2017, I thought it'd be fun to look ahead at some of the key changes that will affect NCCGA players nationwide when they go into effect in 2019.

The 2016 City Tour Championship at Seaview Golf Resort in Atlantic City is quickly approaching. Through three tournaments, some teams have already started punching their tickets for the event. The championship will give players from across the country the opportunity to compete in the Best Ball or Scramble formats to take home the respective titles.
