Adapting to a new generation of golfers

One of the main inspirations behind starting the City Tour in 2014 was a question we kept getting asked frequently by graduating club golfers.

The top-ranked team at this year's City Tour Championship will be Team FOD from Pittsburgh.

This past summer, I was lucky enough to get to play TPC Boston with an old friend of mine.  Quite some time had passed since I first walked the grounds in Norton, MA, during the second round of the 2009 Deutsche Bank Championship, but since it was the only PGA Tour event I have attended, I remember the layouts of the holes as well as where I stood to watch the pros quite vividly.

A familiar face will be seen on the Topgolf Tour this weekend in Atlanta. NCCGA President Matt Hahn entered, and won, the #BeMyBro contest for the chance to pair up with George Bryan IV of the "Bryan Bros" for the competition. The 2016 City Tour season has officially wrapped up all qualifying tournaments! The season began a little less than three months ago on May 15th, and now teams are punching their ticket for the 2016 City Tour Championship taking place in Atlantic City at Seaview Golf Resort in September. The final weekend marked the last opportunity for teams to climb the rankings and earn a spot in the championship.

Here's all the action that went down in each city across the country.

Atlanta

The team of "Gerr Naked Lades" rolled to an 11-stroke victory in the best-ball format of the Atlanta City Tour at Bear's Best Golf Club, with "Dude Where's My Par" taking home the scramble victory. The pair of Tyler Hogan and Johnny Garstka tied at the top of the leaderboard with Connor Cousens and Brent Battson at 71 (-1).

There is something about listening to music before playing any sporting event that seems to get people pumped, focused, and ready to perform.
